HDPE, also known as PE in the plastic industry, is a polyethylene with high density. This particular type of polyethylene offers superior chemical resistance compared to other forms of polyethylene. Additionally, it is highly resistant to impacts and can be easily produced.

Polyethylene is a thermoplastic material widely used in various industries. It is derived from the monomer form of ethylene, hence the name polyethylene. The ethylene molecule (C2H4) consists of two CH2 groups bonded by a double bond (CH2 = CH2). Polymerization of ethylene is the method used to produce polyethylene, and different types of polyethylene can be produced through various polymerization methods such as radical polymerization, anionic polymerization, ion coordination polymerization, and cationic polymerization.
