Thermostatic valves, which control the temperature of heating systems, are a ubiquitous component in households across various industries. These valves contain a metal bellows, specifically a corrugated tube that expands or contracts based on the ambient air temperature in the room. To manufacture these metal bellows, the manufacturer required long, thin-walled sleeves that were deeply drawn. The main challenge was to ensure that these sleeves adhered to strict tolerance specifications, as any variation in their geometries would render them unsuitable for further processing. Hence, the utmost precision was necessary.
