The COMPENSER® of the KL-series is a specialized shock absorber designed for use in the light mechanical engineering industry. It is particularly suitable for applications such as handling equipment, small storage and retrieval machines, and small crane systems. This buffer is specifically designed for push-in cycles that operate at creep speed, thanks to its low reset force from the compression spring.

The design and function of the KL-series shock absorber involve a piston rod that pushes the piston into the pressure chamber. Simultaneously, the damping medium flows through metering grooves located in the outer tube, passing through the piston and into the volume balance chamber. The return spring is tensioned, and after an impact occurs, it pushes the piston rod back to its initial position. This movement allows the damping medium to flow back into the pressure chamber, resetting the shock absorber for further use.
