The C-series hydraulic industrial shock absorber (COMPENSER®) is specifically designed for use in the storage and retrieval machines, smaller conveyor systems, crane systems, and test stands in the light to medium mechanical engineering industry. This hydraulic buffer offers an ideal solution for limiting end positions and emergency stops in industrial applications, thanks to its compact design. Additionally, it allows for operational pushin cycles at creep speed due to its low reset force.

The design and function of this hydraulic buffer are as follows: The piston rod 2 is inserted into the metering tube 3. The damping medium flows from the pressure chamber 6 through the throttle orifices 4 of the metering tube 3 into the volume balance chamber 5. The nitrogen gas between the outer tube 7 and the metering tube 3 is compressed, storing the energy required for the reset of the piston rod. As the piston rod 2 returns to its initial position, the damping medium flows back into the pressure chamber 6.
