The C-series (COMPENSER®) hydraulic industrial shock absorber is specifically designed for use in the storage and retrieval machines, smaller conveyor systems, crane systems, and test stands in the light to medium mechanical engineering industry. This hydraulic buffer is an ideal solution for limiting the end position and serving as an emergency end stop in industrial applications, thanks to its compact design.

The hydraulic buffer operates efficiently at low reset forces, allowing for operational push-in cycles at creep speed.

In terms of design and function, the piston rod enters the metering tube. The damping medium flows from the pressure chamber through the throttle orifices in the metering tube, into the volume balance chamber. The nitrogen gas trapped between the outer tube and the metering tube compresses and stores the energy required for resetting the piston rod. Upon returning to the initial position, the damping medium flows back into the pressure chamber.
