The section mills are specifically designed for the cutting and milling of a complete section of casing. These tools are available in various models, with all models 4 1/2 in. OD and above equipped with two sets of three knives: one long set and one short set. The long set is designed for initial cutting, followed by the milling of the casing.

To enhance the performance of the knives, customers have the option to hardface them with either TOPLOY carbide grains or TOPMILL/SWORDFISH tungsten carbide inserts. While both options are available, it is strongly recommended to use TOPMILL inserts for most jobs, as they significantly improve milling performance.

An additional feature that can be incorporated into this tool is Flo-tel. The Flo-tel allows for a sudden drop in mud pressure when the pipe is cut out, indicating the optimal time to begin applying milling weight. This feature adds convenience and precision to the milling process.
