The hydraulic industrial shock absorber of the C-series (COMPENSER®) is a versatile product designed for use in various industries within the field of mechanical engineering. It is particularly suited for applications such as storage and retrieval machines, smaller conveyor systems, crane systems, and test stands.

One of the notable features of this hydraulic buffer is its compact design, which allows for space-saving installation. It can be utilized as a limitation of the end position, serving as an emergency end stop in industrial applications. Additionally, its low reset force enables operational push-in cycles at creep speed.

The design and function of the hydraulic shock absorber are as follows: the piston rod enters the metering tube, and the damping medium flows from the pressure chamber through throttle orifices in the metering tube into the volume balance chamber. The nitrogen gas present between the outer tube and the metering tube is compressed and stores the energy required for the reset of the piston rod. Upon the return of the piston rod to its initial position, the damping medium flows back into the pressure chamber for subsequent cycles.
